Welcome to the
Soprano, Rosemary Wagner-Scott, has sung and performed in opera, musical theater, film, television and radio throughout the United States, Europe and the Orient. Ms. Wagner-Scott has performed extensively in Beijing and Shanghai, China in La Boheme (Mimi); Cosi Fan Tutte (Fiordiligi);I Paglicacci (Nedda) and Carmen (Micaela), as well as operatic concerts in the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Hong Kong, Korea, Thailand and Manila, Philippines.The soprano sang the west-coast premiere of Lee Hoiby's operatic adaptation of Tennessee William's Summer and Smoke. With the composer present, the performance featured the world-premiere of the scene "Miss Alma Calls".Ms. Wagner-Scott has sung with numerous opera companies throughout the United States. Her roles have included both Mimi and Musetta in La Boheme, Nedda in I Pagliacci; Madama Butterfly, Minnie in La Fanciulla del West, Marguerite in Faust; the title role of Adriana Lecouvreur; Angelica in Suor Angelica; Susanne in Il Segreto di Susanne; La Contessa in Le Nozze di Figaro; the tile role in Massenet's Manon and Puccini's Manon Lescaut, Pamina in Die Zauberflote; Micaela in Carmen; Antonia in Les Contes d'Hoffmann, Aida in Aida and Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus.In March, 1996, Ms. Wagner-Scott sang the role of Floria Tosca in Tosca at the Holders Season Festival in the Barbados, West Indies, under the artistic direction of Christopher Biggins and baton of Peter Crockford. In the summer, she was again a featured artist on tour with the Ambassadors of Opera and Concert Worldwide, Ltd. The spring and summer of 1997 and 1998 included Nedda in several productions of I Pagliacci and numerous concert appearances as a featured solo artist at the Redlands Bowl Summer Music Festival, Westchester-Marina del Rey Symphony where The News stated, "Rosemary Wagner-Scott's beautiful voice with its wide range from mezzo to soprano is admirably suited to the title role of a proud woman reduced to slavery, redeemed through love". In December, 1998, she made her Santa Barbara Grand Opera debut as Rosalinda in Strauss' Die Fledermaus.
